Why aren’t we successful in Olympics? Thousands of people ask the same question and each of them has different reasons to some the most important one is our education system. They say that we don’t have enough sportsmen who have licenses. And we should have more licensed sportsman. Others say that license isn’t important. They point out that because of our education system our students can’t give important to sports. And I also agree with the second group. In our schools, students only learn how to study and how to solve problems. This year China homed the Olympics and they won so many medals. They trained their teenagers very well and a lot of them won medals. However they had been working for it for ten years since the host country was announced.
I think fresh water is the most important global problem. It is the basic element of life and without it we cannot live anymore. However in turkey some cities such as Ankara, Istanbul have a big problem about fresh water. They cannot supply their citizens with enough fresh water. We think that our country has a rich natural life forest, lakes, rivers, dams but they aren’t enough to keep up with millions of people needs. In Ankara we drink the water of the river Kizilirmak, it may be clean but it tastes and smells vary badly. Some politicians say that in the future countries will fight for water but I think the war has just started.
Do you know that Dutch won’t have a land to be an independent nation in the future because of global warming and raising the sea level? The land of the Netherlands will be a part of sea where will they live? They are planning to migrate to Greenland in case of the situation. However they also built big dams protect the walls to stop the water coming from sea.

I think education language in universities in Turkey should be Turkish. Because our only formal language is it. If we do not use Turkish in universities, where does it develop. One language can be alive as long as it is used. It is not the only problem to speak Turkish, how it is used is more important. In universities our educated citizens study and they are the only people who can develop Turkish and represent Turks all over the world.
I'm Samet. I was born in 19.06.1990 in Güneysu, Rize. I'm from Manisa and graduated from Akhisar Anatolian Teacher Training High School. I have a mother who is a housewife and a father who is a teacher in primary school and a brother. He is thirteen and study in seventh class.
I like painting so much and three or four years ago I draw one once a day but later because of our education system I started to get bored with it. I must only studied and solved questions. I can't have enough time to do this. And as all Turkish boys, I like playing football and I watch the matches especially Turkish and premiere league.Though I don not play basketball, I like watching these matches. They are full of entertainment and agitation.
Ankara, my new hometown, is still an alien for me. Climate, people, lifestyle, culture... Everything is differrent from my old one and I must adapt to this new surrounding, the busy life of capital. I have new friends, a new home, room and bad. Everything changed too much to adapt quickly.Manisa, where I lived for thiteen years, is very different from here. It has a more suitable climate to live than Ankara. You can not see a barren land but in Ankara, except for our campus and parks, you can not see this green nature We do not have even drinkable water here. Although it may take time to adapt, I will be accustomed one day.
