Ankara, my new hometown, is still an alien for me. Climate, people, lifestyle, culture... Everything is differrent from my old one and I must adapt to this new surrounding, the busy life of capital. I have new friends, a new home, room and bad. Everything changed too much to adapt quickly.Manisa, where I lived for thiteen years, is very different from here. It has a more suitable climate to live than Ankara. You can not see a barren land but in Ankara, except for our campus and parks, you can not see this green nature We do not have even drinkable water here. Although it may take time to adapt, I will be accustomed one day.

I believe you'll get accustomed soon, hopefully. As a student having her 2nd year in Ankara I can advice you just to try to love our campus first and then the whole city and remember that if you keep comparing these cities you lived before and you live now, it may become harder and may take more time to love here. Ankara will give us more than we can guess, and once you enjoy the beauty of the snow here, you will start loving its climate too. Just enjoy your life here and seize the day ;)

Yes, first weeks were harsh... You don't know anyone, anywhere, anything.. :S
I think the foreigners were more relaxed than I was when I first came here :D But now, I think I started to get used to here, and after starting to meet and know someone from campus, faculty I can say that it's now attempting for me to study in ODTÜ. Yes, I think the hardest one will be the climate to adapt;) especially winters.. I live in Sakarya, I've seen half meter snow, but it's not like here, due to the humidity, it's not much harsh.. But in Ankara terrestrial climate makes weather harsher to struggle;) even now mornings are so cold.. Anyway, it started to get away from topic, just like I'm some weather reporter :D
That's all to say from me for now..

Despite the absence of sea and the harsh climate Ankara is my best..I hope it would become ur best too..:)

Oh!Ankara's weather...It is very different from my hometown,Trabzon.Trabzon has warmer climate especially in winters. So,it is difficult for me to get used to this cold days in Ankara. Also, its water cannot be drunk. The most important thing for me;there is not SEA in Ankara.I am looking around to see a space like sea but only i see is buildings.Anyway,i am living some problems to get used to Ankara, too. But, in the course of time i will accustomed to it,i believe:)
